北京时间9月30日晚，2018年世界女排锦标赛小组赛次轮较量在日本结束。

东道主日本在与荷兰的交锋中拼尽全力。尽管两主攻黑后爱和古贺纱理那联手夺下48分，大比分两度落后的日本女排还是没能翻盘。在决胜局对荷兰主攻布伊吉斯盯防不力，令日本功亏一篑，终以2-3告负首遭败绩，五局比分为25-27、25-16、26-28、25-19和13-15。荷兰女排涉险闯关后，在A组头名之争中成功占得上风，晋级6强之路也变得更加平坦。

此役日本的主攻黑后爱斩获25分荣膺得分王，对角古贺纱理那贡献23分，接应新锅理沙赢得14分，队长荒木绘里香进账13分。荷兰的主攻布伊吉斯力夺21分，接应斯洛特耶斯收获20分，副攻贝里恩得到17分，主攻格罗图斯进账10分。
